he was an american caricaturist best known for his black & white drawings of celebrities. he was born of jewish parents in st louis mo. his drawings are unique in being black ink line and were seen in new york times, the new yorker and other magazines.In his 80 year career he chronicled all major 20th century entertainers. he lived and died in new york 1903-2003.
